Nickelback es un grupo musical canadiense de hard rock , fundado por Chad Kroeger, Mike Kroeger, Ryan Peake y el primer baterista, Brandon Kroeger. Nickelback es uno de los grupos canadienses más exitosos en términos comerciales, vendiendo más de 55 millones de copias en todo el mundo. Esta ubicado en la undécima posición de ventas musicales de la década de 2000, y también tiene el segundo lugar en ventas de grupos extranjeros en los Estados Unidos, después de Los Beatles, durante los años 2000.

El nombre de la banda proviene de la palabra nickel (moneda) que Mike Kroeger utilizaba frecuentemente para devolver el cambio cuando trabajaba en la cafetería Starbucks ("Here's your nickel back", o "Aquí está su moneda de vuelta" o "Aquí está su cambio").
